Many are under the common misunderstanding that to be French means to have a standard French accent, when in fact this is not the case. I want that real French that only those who truly grew up speaking it know &#8212; for example, that \u00ab\u00a0je ne,\u00a0\u00bb is usually just sounded as \u00ab\u00a0jen.\u00a0\u00bb Or, that French when pronouncing \u00ab\u00a0acheter\u00a0\u00bb in it\u2019s plural conjugation typically drop the \u00ab\u00a0e\u00a0\u00bb sounding it as \u00ab\u00a0nous achtons,\u00a0\u00bb as opposed to \u201cnous achetons,\u201d for example. These are seemingly simple things, but they seperate out Foreigners from French. They are simply not things we can learn on our own, except from people like Maryse.
